We begin a sermon series entitled, "In God We Trust" where we will be looking at the Biblical foundations of liberty.  In these times of great upheaval and distress from many angles, Christians must understand their responsibility and privilege to stand firm upon the foundations that do not change, the Bible and the Trinity that was at the heart of our founding as a nation. Do we want to be blessed by God? Do the people of this nation want to please God? If we do, there is an understanding that we must hold on to.  God gives His people the opportunity to be blessed but they have to understand the requirements to receive these blessings as a nation.  In Psalm 33 the Psalmist gives us the simplest outline of what it takes to receive the blessings of God. Then  I Peter 2 challenges us to live out our role as the priesthood of all believers in our nation.
