WellSpring Core Values
1. Mountain of Prayer: Spirit-filled, inside and out. At WellSpring, no amount of human effort can touch in one year what God can do in one moment as His people humble themselves to pray for His guidance and His will. Our worship gathering’s Prayer Garden and our developing prayer ministry are where we meet God face to face, experiencing Him in heart, soul, and mind.
2. Meant to be Found: Lost people matter to God. At WellSpring, our hearts break at the alarming percentage of people, cherished by our Heavenly Father, who are not actively involved in relationship with Him through the community of faith. We want to meet people where they are physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, inviting them to belong as they begin to believe. Look for us out in the community as we creatively “give a cup of cold water” to thirsty pilgrims...no strings attached.
3. Meaningful Praise: Relevant and vibrant worship. WellSpring is not your ordinary worshiping community! Never changing the changeless message of the Gospel, we nevertheless choose to break down walls that currently exist, especially among the unchurched, such as dress, formality, relevance, style, and communication. People today want to find God in a way that touches our hearts and minds simultaneously, and we do this at WellSpring through cutting-edge music and media, upbeat and relevant messages, casual (coffee welcome!) atmosphere, and learning to look for God in the most surprising of circumstances!
4. Melting & melding: Authentic, relational small groups. The ultimate need of humans, realized or not, is that of love and acceptance. As broken individuals, we seek to know a God that loves us despite our flaws, accepts us as we are, but loves us too much to leave us that way. At WellSpring, we can grow smaller as we grow larger through bonding in weekly, home and community-based small groups that care enough to invest the time it takes to grow close to God through loving and ministering to one another.
5. Missionary discipleship. At WellSpring, we are passionate for spiritual growth! Every ministry area purposefully seeks to develop head and heart simultaneously, raising up leaders who serve with passion through their God-given gifts and abilities. We seek not to soak up and grow stale, but rather, to spill Christ’s fragrance over all we come into contact with, meeting people where they are, and encouraging and challenging one another to grow in His likeness!
6. Modeling, mentoring, multiplying Christ’s Kingdom. At WellSpring, we’re all seeking replacements for ourselves! God has a divine purpose for every individual He creates, and He desires that we all grow “in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and men.” (Luke 2:52). We take seriously the Great Commission’s mandate by going out into the world and multiplying every ministry area so that lives can be transformed for His glory on a scale that defies human imagination and capacity.
We're all just trophies of God's grace at WellSpring, with much more ground to cover on the journey.
But we’re committed to traveling the path to find the One who is! The One in Whom “we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). And, like the woman at the well who thought she had it all together until Jesus gently saw right through her as He lovingly told her the truth about herself, we NEED the Living Water like nothing we’ve ever experienced before. Jesus is the ONLY Source that will quench every hope, every dream, every hurt, every question, and everyone...no matter where you are in life. Are you thirsty?
Yes, we are blessed, sitting atop the border of Prattville and Millbrook, Alabama, to be surrounded with beautiful, sparkling, natural artesian wells. These wells, located all over the area, continually supply eager jug-carriers with the coolest, freshest, thirst-quenching water around. Also across the tri-county region is a long, rich spiritual history. Generations of people have found their sweet spot in the countless wonderful houses of faith all around us. And yet…a significant number of people right here do not attend church, or attend church REGULARLY, anywhere...
